Yeah, I try to stay away from the sports talk on here as much as I can...but this really impacted me. My dad told me a story about how my cousin Eleazar Garza went to the Mariners vs. Tampa Bay series early this season. He talked about how Eleazar tried to get Matt Garza's autograph. He did and also talked to him a bit about where he was from and who his parents were in trying to figure out if he was related. It turns out Matt's dad was in the audience and after the conversation was over called him over to sit with him near the dughout seats. During the game they talked about family, values, etc. Really neat stuff. It turns out that Matt is related to us. Eleazar also said that Matt's dad invited him to come see the World Series if the Rays made it. So watching (mostly listening on the radio as well) last night's game was awesome. The guy dominated the Boston RedSox in the playoffs in a game 7. You just don't do that. Well, Matt did. I'm so proud of this guy. When people say that it's in our blood, there you have it. I'm not joking when I say this, it's an inherent thing that starts from the inside...it's almost like we were born to play this sport. I've always felt this way. I've told my sons as my father told me... Some of you may laugh at this, but it's totally true. So if you're out there Eleazar, if you get tickets to this, I would LOVE to go. I've never been to a playoff game or a World Series. I am a big baseball fan, always have been. ;) If you haven't read it, he is the ALCS MVP. Now that's impressive. Great job Mr. Garza. Now do well in the World Series. A Garza in the World Series...how about that?

Come to think of it...."he looks like our Garza's" You can see the resemblance. I saw game 7, and it was AWESOME.. Me & Isaiah have been glued to the t.v. You had to go & ruin it for me, I was hoping the Phillies would take, just because I would like Moyer to get a ring (even though he was TERRIBLE in the playoffs, LOL) but, you know, he kinda deserves it, HE is, after all, the OLDEST MLB active player. But now, I'm starting to think, It'd be cool for the Rays to take it!! Go MATT GARZA. It's all good, as long as you see "GOOD baseball". "Worst to first" gives me hopes for my Mariners next year, LOL
Love ya Ben, I always look forward to reading your Space..
you cuz, Amy
