Valerie, thanks for the cute note you sent me. You're so sweet. I miss my cousins. I really do. It's nice when I get to see you guys. I think of you all often. It's funny because we don't really do what our parents used to do. Write letters, etc. But we are closer than they were to their cousins because of the internet. So I hope I am able to keep you guys up to date on what's going on with me and my family. It's one of the biggest reasons for this blog. It's not for the world, but for those I love. If there's anything any of you want to know about from what's up with Martha to what's going on with so and so, just ask. I'll blog about it! Even if it's a techie question, I don't mind answering it. You guys know I love technology. Feel free to share with the cousins. I'm not sure who all is reading the blog or has it on their RSS reader, but hey, if you're reading along, send me a shout out. I'd love to hear from you. Well, we had a very busy week last week. We had a surprise birthday party for Gracie, Martha's sister on Saturday. It was a small thing held in the back room of Roy's Western Smorgy. It was a time of reflection on Gracie and what she means to everyone. It was pretty cool. We flew Art her brother in for the party and began with a video tape recording on the projector of him saying that he couldn't make it...and that he had to pray for the food... and in the middle of the prayer we added some special effects to mess it up. Then he popped out of the back room and said...this's a bad time for technical difficulties and so he surprised her and she was pretty surprised. Then on Sunday evening we had a Thanksgiving dinner at Gracie and Arnold's house in Othello. We had a great time eating and then fellowshipping as we had a family service. Everyone spoke beautifully, we prayed for all the families. God has been good and we are very blessed. I pray that my entire family is able to experience the same thing.
Happy Birthday to Gracie and Maylie this week. :)
