Next, our new President elect stormed through the election with a huge victory. Barak Obama won the election. Quite an event in our nation's history. At first I was a bit disappointed. But, I hope he proves to be the leader this nation needs at this time.
This morning I woke up thinking about Seth Brooks. Not sure what it was, but I was thinking about him. I haven't heard from Cesilia since I last posted about Seth. I'll probably email them tomorrow to find out. Isn't it funny how all of a sudden you start to think about someone or something out of the blue? Anyhow, I had been meaning to write to them to find out. Hmm...maybe I'll check their myspace as well. I may have thought about them because Bryson has been sick.
Anyhow, I just got back from the hospital. Bryson's been a bit sick since 2am Saturday morning. He had a few vomiting spells and seemed to feel better this morning. But towards the evening he was starting to get lethargic. At which point we took him into the clinic. From there, the doctors said he was dehydrated so we headed over to the Hospital. Bryson, being the personality of our family, sure made his presencen known. They admitted him and he wasn't himself until the nurse came in. That's when she started explaining that she was going to put the tube inside his arm and that it was going to hurt for a bit. He said ouch twice and she said, it's over! Bryson
responds with, "It's over? Cool!" Then she asks him about his siblings. He goes on to tell her about Benjamin, Brandon, and Madeline. She responds with a story about her 4 boys and one that is no longer with us. That boy she states didn't stay with us very long. So Bryson responds with, "Oh, he's with Jesus right?" Which startles the nurse. "Um...something like that," she responds. He then goes on to say, "Yeah, he's in heaven. I know he is, up there with Jesus. You don't think he's somewhere else do you?" To which she has no answer. But she did become a bit teary eyed. Then he went on to explain to her that, "Smokers are bad. They are going to go to the lake of fire." She explains to him that, "Smokers aren't necessarily bad, they just make bad choices." To which he retorts, "Yeah, smoking is a bad choice, and if we smoke we're going to the lake of fire, but if we make good choices, we go to heaven, don't you know? I know your son is in heaven. He's up there right now beside Jesus waiting for you." Somehow, I think God used Bryson in a special way. As funny as it sounds to all of us, I think she may have needed to hear that at that time. I tell you, God works in mysterious ways. Anyhow, after the IV, a popsicle and a sticker later, we came home.
