Sad news...

Not sure if many of you know who Sneena and Cesilia (Cano) Brooks is...but they are very good friend of mine. We spent a lot of time together in Cheney when I was in college. Well the news hit me like a ton of bricks today when she informed me that she had spent a considerable amount of time in Seattle as her oldest son Seth has cancer. Sneena and Cesilia are at the Ronald McDonald house in Seattle while Seth goes through treatments...and it sounds like he'll won't be going home any time soon... He's keeping a positive attitude as is the family. It sounds like her family and close friends have surrounded them with support, but I am still going to send the call out to everyone to please pray for them and especially for Seth. I don't know what it's like to be any of them right now, but I know the feeling can't be good. I knew Seth when he was a small little guy. Probably his first 4 or 5 years of life. He was a pretty strong kid at that age. Well, maybe stronger than that when Sneena would talk about him. What I know of him is that he was born of two very strong people that love him very much. So I know that he's a very smart and a very strong person. I also know that he has a sister named Selah and a younger brother as well now. In any case, keep your chin up big guy. Stay strong for your parents because they must be feeling just as helpless as you are right now with this invisible disease that's eating at you. Know this... stronger is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
