Growing boys....

Have you ever heard the term growing boys? Well, I understand it better every day. They grow so fast that I can hardly keep up with them anymore. Benjamin has played on 4 different baseball teams this summer, he's starting football, and to top it off basketball camps are around the corner as well as basketball --and that's because we didn't do Golf this year. Next year I want to get him in WJGA. Add Brandon to the mix next year and you have yourselves one busy summer. We will have to scale this back a bit next year...this is just too much. But one thing the boys have been doing pretty consistently for the last two years is piano lessons. Our next door neighbor has been teaching them. They had their first recital a few weeks ago and we were delighted to hear the beautiful sounds eminating from that old rickety piano. It's one of those moments in time that you wish would last forever. I could have screamed...STOP GROWING ALREADY! YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE AND SO PERFECT! :) It's so cute cause they aren't "refined" yet when it comes to piano playing, but they are trying so hard. Benjamin is quite the perfectionist and did so...keeping the beat, smoothing over a missed note and bowing at the end. Brandon was very demonstrative in that he was bobbing his head up and down with the beat as he was playing and sitting on the very edge of the piano bench. It was quite a sight to see...I think I'll see if I can put up some video one of these days.
