Congrats to the Class of 2008

Well I miss all of you. I'm back and ready to fill you all in on what's on my mind... Last night was tio Ricardo's funeral service...may he rest in peace. Nice guy...I pray for his family. It was really good to see Bobby. Hadn't seen him in a long time. A lot of the other people that were there as well. But Bobby has a special place in my heart. I've always tried talking to him and saying hello to him wherever he was at. I'm not sure why... He's a good kid. Just has had a lot happen to him and I just hope he is able to find grace in this time of need.

Last night Keila, Roland & Ana's daughter had her graduation party as she recently graduated from Othello High School. It was quite a party. The Othello High School Jazz band was there...or a large portion of it. They played very well. It was an enjoyable night musically. As far as the weather...well God had other plans. Dead chicken was flying everywhere....if you know what I mean. Food kept flying off the tables...plates, etc. It was really windy. They could not change the time and date of the event due to the fact that Keila is leaving to Phoenix for something and already has plane tickets in hand. She plans on going to Northwest this fall. We wish her the best. Keila, tia Martha and I will never forget you begging for a part in the Kid's Cantata. It is that persistence and God's precious gift that have enabled you to become the young lady that you are. Congratulations.

Neddy, Saul & Neddy's daughter, and obviously my niece, also graduated this weekend from Pasco High School. Wowzers. Young lady, you really impressed me with your presentation. You wrote an eloquent speech and delivered it with presence and gusto at your graduation. Not to mention that you gave it in Spanish and then in English. I can't say enough about it. I was blown away that you were elected to do this, and that you are the leader that you are amongst your peers. It's a great responsibility. I can only imagine. Continue to put God first in everything you do and you will continue to be blessed. Now, on to Eastern. What can I say about my school? I bleed red and white. You are now (FINALLY) a screaming eagle. Congratulations. For the record, I love Cheney and Spokane. I have very fond memories of my time spent there. Always remember to put God in every decision that you make. Never allow your peers to make decisions for you...no matter how small the decision is.

Arianna, Nelly and Arnie's daughter, and who has also spent a lot of time with Martha and I learning and helping us with photography and videography also graduated this weekend from Kennewick High School. Wow, young lady, you are amazing. I don't understand how you find time for everything in your life. You are an intern at Battelle, you are an intern at B&MCreations, you have a boyfriend, you are graduating from high school, and I know that you are UBER involved in school. Wow, props to you. Congratulations on your awesome accomplishment. Martha and I have enjoyed having you around and we look forward to working with you in the future! It's safe to say that Martha and I think of you as a member of our family. You are a valuable addition to B&MCreations. We love you. It just wouldn't be the same without you.

James, James and Elma's son, also graduated this past weekend from Othello High. I had the pleasure of mentoring him this year with his senior project. James, you have a very bright future ahead of you. If you put the same heart and determination that you put into baseball and football into your future (education, job, etc), you will soon find that you can achieve your dreams. Remember that with God, all things are possible. I expect greatness out of you. Don't ever let anyone around you convince you that you're not great. With God for us, who can be against us?

Daisy, Enoch and Delia's daughter graduated from Pasco High as well this weekend. Wow monica! You graduated! That's awesome. Daisy...God has HUMONGOUS plans for you! I don't know how I know this, I just do. God is going to do BIG things through you and with you. All I know is that you are someone my wife and I can always lean on. You exemplify the humbleness and honesty that I hope to instill in my children. And no matter what room you enter, your awesome smile can brighten it easily. No matter where God takes you, you will make it a brighter place. Congratulations!

Damaris, Gracie and Arnold's daughter will graduate from Columbia Basin College this week. Wow, weren't we at your graduation a couple of days ago? My goodness. I still think that you can be Doctor Damaris Garza (or whatever new last name you'll have in the future). Seriously, aim as high as you can. Don't ever put limits on what God can make you. Listen to his voice...and whatever he wants you to be, you go DO IT! Can you imagine what you can do with the ability to be a doctor on a mission or in a third world country? WOW! Of all the kids I know, you probably have the perfect makeup to become a doctor, and a good one. Ok, I'll stop pushing...but I'm only telling you what I feel in my heart. Congratulations!

Eric...ok I'm bawling already. Bro, you complete me. I knew that would lighten the mood. Ok, I can type now. Eric Mikael Garza. Yep, that's your name, and I had the blessing to be the one who picked out your name originally. Ok, dad made the final decision, but I named you. I wanted you to have a normal first name...but a distinguished middle name. In case you were curious. At the time you were born Mikhail Gorbechev was a pretty important dude (president of Russia) back then and I liked the sound of the name. It sounds important. Anyhow, you graduated man! This is huge. My little bro is done with High School. AND he's going to my old stompin grounds. EWU! Another screaming eagle in the family. I'm so proud of you someone is going to have to pinch me. There was a time before I graduated from high school that it was my father's dream for at least one of us to graduate from high school and go to college. Well here we are, 5, count em...5 graduates. I'd say we did it. Pretty sweet if you asked me. And no matter how dad acts, he's so proud he's got it coming out of his ears. He's a happy man lately. Way to go big guy. Now go get that degree at EWU. And don't come back without it. There's my speech. If you need absolutely anything, money, a car, ...you name it...absolutely anything. Call me...I have dad's cell number! Ok, just kidding. You can count on me bro. I know what it's like. Please do call me, I'd be happy to help...even if all you need is just someone to talk to. What are brothers for?

Wow..class of 2008. You're a piece of art...look at you! For those of you I didn't mention, I didn't forget, I just ran out of words, imagine that! Congrats to all of you!
