See Food Diet...

I'm doing a friendly competition with my friend Mark at work. He's taller than me and weighs the same as me. Mark and I get together frequently to talk about life and our struggles and to share our successes and our failures. He's a really good friend. So together we hope to compete against our weight. What you see here is a snapshot of the temptation I had to walk through this week. Viera's Bakery in downtown Pasco. That my friends is temptation of the greatest kind. empanadas are my best friend. So, yes Mark, I fell on Monday morning. I ate one. Just one. But, that doesn't mean anything. I'm going for the gold buddy. These empanadas will be there after I win. On second thought...maybe Anthony's was a bad idea... maybe the grand prize should be... a dozen Empanadas or a dozen pastries of your choice from Viera's Bakery. I tell you what, the smell in that place is glorious. I think heaven will smell that way. All people talk about is how heaven is going to be, and how it's going to look. But they never talk about how it's going to smell. Well hear ye, hear ye, heaven smells like the inside of Viera's bakery in Pasco. If you've never been... it is definitely something you will want to experience some time soon. It's better than being a kid and walking through the candy store. All your senses are enveloped with deliciousness. Mmm.... And now...back to the southbeach diet. *sigh*

On a more serious note...I can't leave today's post like that. September 11th will forever be remembered for the tragedy in New York City. I'll never forget that event and it has changed the world we live in. But more than anything, I pray for the families of the people who died. I pray they can find peace in their hearts for the ones they lost and passion for God and for life. Where was I? I believe I was home sick that day. And watching the events unfold... I don't remember if I came to work or not... It is the kind of day where you are in a daze about what's going on. It's surreal. To this day I can't believe that it happened. It did bring home a message to everyone of what is truly important in life. It's those around you and your family. God Bless the USA.

Glad I'm not on a diet.

God bless the families from that tragic event man.
