Both of my grandfathers were very hard workers. But they were different in more than just height. On my dad's side, my grandfather Alfonso who, died a few years ago, was a short, lively man. He played the guitar, bass, piano, and also the violin. All this was by ear...he never had a lesson in his life. So much talent, so much potential... He loved his wife Evangelina and his 8 children and 35 grandchildren unconditionally and when his wife died, it took a lot out of him. He never was the same. But he left us all with a passion for music, a love of family, and the desire to do your best at everything you do. He was always happy, smiling, and passionate about life. He loved God with all of his heart...I can still hear him playing the violin and humming a song.
